Health systems are the organization of people, institutions, and resources that deliver healthcare services to meet the health needs of target populations. Health financing is a core function of health systems that can enable progress towards universal health coverage by improving effective service coverage and financial protection.
Our consultants have been involved in a range of research projects on health systems and financing including studies to examine:
- the impact of scaling up primary health integrated care services on HIV viral suppression, blood pressure and blood glucose control.
- facility-level performance in the pediatric HIV and TB care cascades.
- the impact of integration of sexual and reproductive health services on clinical staff time and staff workload.
- Financing essential HIV services and the HIV response in sub-Saharan Africa from domestic sources.
